Ready JET SET Summer!
In the late 1970s, the radiant Margaux Hemingway was photographed by the American photographer David Hume Kennerly at her grandfather, Ernest Hemingway's house in Cuba. The vibrant and steamy images can be viewed on Vogue France and serve as our packing list inspo for a fantasy excursion to Cuba where we'd take in a vibrant salsa show at the Tropicana and then delight in freshly poured pisco sours at La Floridita bar. We'd of course stay at the Hotel Saratoga, more recently buzzed about for hosting Jay Z and Beyonce.
The only way to score a reservation at the Gasparilla Inn on Florida's emerald green gulf coast is to book it when you are checking out - or call daily for cancellations and be ready to jet off at a moment's notice for that rare opening. The old Florida, bungalow-chic decor is just begging for a Cara Cara-filled suitcase. Our style muse is 50s model, Liz Pringle whose vivid wardrobe would feel right at home on the trellised terrace. Fingers crossed for a near-future booking - or better yet, a photo shoot!
No one rocks the style casbah better than bohemian beauty, Marisa Berenson. Her iconic, globe trotting editorials are pinned all over our Pre-Fall moodboard. For an exotic holiday in intoxicating Marrakech, we'd check into the Royal Mansour, a luxury collection of riads in the heart of the medina and don our favoriate medallion printed silk-set.
A crochet-clad Jane Birkin in the french film noir, La Piscine serves iconic holiday style inspo for a trip to Corsica where we'd lounge, aperol-spritz in hand, along the rocky beach of the Hôtel U Capu Biancu.
