The Cara Cara family celebrated Friendsgiving at Playa Grande Beach Club, the casually elegant Dominican Republic resort featuring lacy Victorian bungalows and trellised cabanas scattered on a tropical green lawn spilling into the ocean. The resort's co-owner Celerie Kemble, an interior designer whose work serves as a constant inspiration for the brand, decorated the property in an eclectic and colorful clash of tropical prints and bamboo antiques. It all served as a perfect backdrop to take the new resort collection for a run around the island.
We styled Cara Cara's resort collection with minimal make-up, barefeet and bottomless spicy margs. It was the perfect recharge before a chaotic holiday season and a great way to test our most jet-set collection!
After we shot our Pre-Fall 2024 lookbook, our families joined us at the resort. We have 5 kids between us and they get along swimmingly - literally. We spent the rest of the holiday break laying by the pool, jumping over turquoise waves, and sharing fresh, nourishing fare offset by buckets of icy rosé.
