Julia takes Italia

The Co-founder shares her dreamy itinerary

"The late Fall is the perfect time to visit the Lombardy region. The crowd has thinned, the weather is beautiful and it’s mushroom season!"

Read on for Julia's favorite meals, moments, and more from her recent trip to Italy...

First Stop: Milan

"The city known for it's food and fashion never ceases to amaze. We stayed at the very chic Portrait Hotel right in the heart of the Milan shopping district. A former seminary, it has the perfect old world charm, plus the decor and the crowd are equally inspiring!"

Lunch: Il Salumaio is ideal for fabulous Italian food, plus it's close proximity to shopping and great people watching is unmatched.

Dinner: Langosteria - lets just say we sat at 10pm and the Italian crowd was just arriving...

What to Wear: Day to Night

Ciao Como!

"Passalacqua did not disappoint. It is truly one of the most special hotels in Italy. Breathtaking lake views and murano glass for days - the colors were awe inspiring - both from the hotel and nature!"

Next a hop to their sister property, Grand Hotel Tremezzo via boat, which is magically a completely different vibe. The colors at the pool all center around the Aperol Spritz - that specific rich orange mixed with a refreshing, vibrant white. Each room echoed the abundance of saturated color found throughout the space. I love how the Italians adore color and are not afraid to mix and use it!

Last stop was the print fair where artisans from all over the world come to show their work for the season. The Lake Como area has long been a notable hub for art and textile sourcing!

The Fall 2026 Collection will definitely be inspired by this trip! I can’t wait to go back. Xx - Julia
